HOW THE ELECTRIC PLUGS YOU USE AT HOME ARE MADE

Those materials are made from urea formaldehyde also known as urea-methanal, named so for its common synthesis pathway..it is made from urea and formaldehyde heated in the presence of a mild base such as ammonia and pyridine,it is transparent and can be used for various translucent and transparent moulding due to their almost colourless nature..they are very good with alpha-cellulose fillers, they are less water and heat resistant than phenolic and melanine formaldehyde..its chemical structure is given below..

The production of this urea formaldehyde is then put into use by various industries to produce a great resin for bonding particleboard (61%), medium density fiberboard (27%), hardwood plywood (5%), laminating adhesive (7%) and also used in the production of electric plugs, switches and other household appliances..
